Over the years, the cruising community in Cartagena has contributed a significant number of reviews and general intel to the NO FOREIGN LAND website. The resulting cruising guide to Cartagena is an extremely valuable resource detailing everything from machine shops, butchers, boatyards, and public pools. The information is sourced from cruisers for the cruising community and is free to use. A particularly nice feature is the site's integration with your phone's GOOGLE MAPS (the "go-to" function) that makes finding your local chandlery super easy.

Currently, there is no VHF net in Cartagena, but the community has been operating a WhatsApp chat group (UCC) that functions much like an informal VHF net- same local knowledge, new vessel introductions, recommendations, and plenty of "treasures of the bilge"...  You can join this group via this link: UCC WhatsApp

Additionally, the Colombian Ministry of Tourism in conjunction with Colombian Maritime Authorities has published The Cruising Guide to Colombia.

 

This English/Spanish guidebook covers both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts and is packed with detailed navigation charts and useful information.
